MOTs are unfortunately something which each and every driver has to go through, While of course it’s understandable that a car must be checked in order to ascertain if there are any issues which might affect its road worthiness (after all, doing any harm to ourselves or other people is something which shouldn’t be entertained) it can’t be helped and we can’t be considered childish for being honest – getting an MOT is boring!
There are some MOT Conwy centres which just so happen to be placed in locations which are packed full of things to do. If anything, you’ll likely come back to your MOT Centre a little late from some of the places in North Wales! Conwy County has an absolute gem of a town called Llandudno, which just so happens to be called the Queen of Welsh Resorts.
1 – A Nice Walk Down the Beach
An old one, but such a good one. Llandudno is blessed with an immaculately clean beach, as well as a charming promenade walk which is absolutely perfect on a sunny day. The promenade walk is a sprawl from the Little Orme to the Great, and is rather scenic and littered with curiosities such as Llandudno’s Alice in Wonderland Statues, The children’s paddling pool, and even an ice-cream van or two on fine days. Even better, there’s not an obnoxious arcade in sight!
2- Shop till you Drop in Mostyn Champney Retail Park / Parc Llandudno
Llandudno is a seaside town with not one, but two retail parks. Mostyn Champneys is a retail park which has an emphasis on larger items, and therefore has retailers such as B&M, Maplins, B&Q and Currys, and Parc Llandudno has an out of town outlet feel all about it with stores such as River Island, Next, New Look, and of course Debanham’s. There’s also a Costa for your caffeine fix!
3 – A Walk down the Historic Mostyn Street
Mostyn Street is the unique high street experience for anyone that misses the good old days of independent shops, bakers, and a shopping experience with soul. We’re fans (of course!) of larger out of town experiences like the two retail parks up on the point above, but for when you’re looking for a coffee with a chat, and a laid back shopping experience with so many things to toddle around and enjoy, then Mostyn Street truly can’t be beaten.
As you can see, there’s so many things to see and do in Llandudno, it’s very clearly one of the best places to get your MOT Conwy. Llandudno has kept tourists on their holidays entertained for hundreds of hundreds of years, and there’s so very many things to enjoy while you get your MOT done.
